John Sutton has seen occasions when scripts, memory and adlibbing completely fail pledge pitchers (Current, July 14). What have you seen and heard?

A number of years ago, one of our "pitchers" commented on a listener who had called back to increase their pledge amount. His on-air comment was, " He upped his pledge, now up yours."

We had one pitcher who said, "now we're going back to the show" and the other said, "we are? I thought we had two more minutes in this break." Then they stared at each other with blank faces.
